  1. What are SharkBite push-fit fittings?

    SharkBite push-fit fittings are fittings that you can push the connector by hand onto the tube or pipe. Once pushed to the proper depth, you’re done; no extra parts, soldering or tools are required.

  3. What tools do I need to connect SharkBite push-fit fittings?

    No tools are required for connecting the fittings. Although, the SharkBite Safe Seal Tool is recommended for de-burring and measuring the depth of the tubing. The tubing must be cut square, free of burrs and debris before installing. When disconnecting the SharkBite push-fit fitting the disconnecting clip or disconnecting tongs are required.

  4. How do I connect SharkBite push-fit fittings?

    The tubing must be cut square, free of burrs and debris before installing. Mark the tubing at approximately 1” from the end that is to be installed. Insert the tube through the release collar to rest against the grab ring. Next, push firmly with a slight twisting action until the tube reaches the tube stop. The depth of the mark on the tube should be within .05 in (1.3mm) of the end of the release collar.

  5. How do I disconnect SharkBite push-fit fittings?

    The only way to disconnect the SharkBite push-fit fitting is with a SharkBite Disconnection Clip or SharkBite Disconnection Tongs. With the clip or tongs apply pressure to the release collar; this releases the grab ring teeth. At the same time the pressure is being applied, pull on the tube with a twisting action to remove the tube.
